Is it Safe to Exercise with Empty Stomach?

Tips Add comments

With the intention to burn more fat, we often choose not to eat when we do the exercise. Is it safe? According to Michele Stanten, Prevention Fitness Director, it is fine for us to do it. Just do not expect we are going to get rid of more fat. A study reported that people who exercise on an empty stomach burn fat even less than that those who fill his stomach 1-2 hours before exercise. Stanten who also was a certified fitness instructor later explained, if we do the exercise such as walking with an empty stomach, we can only stand for 30-40 minutes walk. “But everyone has their own levels,” she said. To find the right size, Stanten recommended us to do small-scale trials.

The trick is, try to eat snacks that are 200 calorie content. It can be cracker bread wheat, banana with one tablespoon of peanut butter, or low-fat cheese. After that, observe how strong we are doing sports. Then compare what happens when we do not eat at all before the sports. “Usually when we do not fill the stomach before exercise, we will eat more after exercise. Result in more calories than are burned,” she said. We certainly do not want this to happen right?
